| As many of you are aware, MKC member, Kelly Grant was diagnosed with liver cancer last summer about the time we held our Grosse Ile Grand Prix event. Being a resident of Grosse Ile, she got to attend an event that was literally in her back yard. In spite of her illness, she came out to meetings the rest of the year and into the Fall and Winter. She even raced a bit at Grosse Ile although I don't think she was up to speed for the Waterford event. She raced enduro laydown YAMAHA pipe at the big tracks like Mid-Ohio ,Grattan, Gateway,and Gingerman. She even raced at this years 2008 MKC banquet at KART2KART. The year she joined MKC in 2000 she won in her class at Gateway International Speedway. She loved Corvettes, HydroPlanes, Star Trek , and racing in her go-kart named Sharky. The Michigan Kart Club will dearly miss this Lady of Racing |
