If KARTING is Going to SURVIVE ?
No question the economy has hurt everyone especially those that do not have limitless incomes which is why they chose Kart racing in the first place over other types of more expensive motorsports.
First and foremost for Karting to survive the "fun" factor must be put back. Too many classes and far too complicated tech inspection procedures. Identify those classes that we think will grow the sport and lose the dinosaurs. By getting more Karts into a class (the proverbial class struggle) by deleting the dinosaur classes which will foster more competition. My observation has been that fewer classes with more competition will grow the sport. Too many classes tends to dilute the competition and dilute overall Karting event participation.
Where were the Karters that complained about not having their Kart Classes and then not showing up for the Races?
I am only a elected Volunteer Worker by the active MKC Club Members, With a dependence of support from people outside the sport that have graciously volunteered their time to help put on the races.
I'm only doing it for the love of Go - Karting !
